SL-Bow
About:
My entry for the 8th FPSC - unfortunately I didn't have time to finish the texture (or barely start it for that matter). The theme of the challenge was a medieval object with a hint of something modern thrown in. I went for this design in the end, as I've always liked the sleek design of the SL-9 and have always had an interest in crossbows. The rear end (stock/receiver) are parts of the SL-9, whereas the front end are all crossbow parts.
Because of some last minute changes I made to the mesh, I sort of regret that I didn't increase the amount of edges on the side cylinders that the rope attaches to. Looking back on it, I regret using so many sides on the scope too. I definitely could of thrown some of those polys to good use on detailing the receiver.
